Joined Exeter's Bengaluru center in April on the Affordable Care Act health insurance exchanges for Hawaii and Vermont, and became the first on the team to take ownership across the product's layers. Co-wrote a logging procedure for tracing production failures, which the delivery head took to US leadership. Took midnight calls to help the US team through a difficult release.

What mattered most

  1. 01

First review: taking ownership and spreading knowledge

My first Exeter review said I was the first on the team to take ownership across layers, and credited my push to spread knowledge of the product so no single person was a bottleneck.

  2. 02

A logging procedure for every layer

Production failures were being debugged on calls with no information. With the delivery head, I co-wrote a logging procedure for every layer of the exchange platform, and he took it to US leadership to decide on a rollout.

What people said

“We are getting into frustrating calls with no information and I think this document is something that we should start looking at this.”
